Phantom Lady #13 (Fox Features, 1947) is the first Phantom Lady issue at Fox and the beginning of Matt Baker's celebrated run — the defining work of the Golden Age's premier "good girl art" illustrator. Baker covers are a cornerstone niche of pre-Code collecting, and the Fox Phantom Lady run is his signature title. Mid-grade unrestored copies are legitimately hard to find.
