Fantastic Four #49 (Marvel, 1966) is the middle chapter of the Galactus Trilogy: the first full appearance of Galactus and the second appearance of the Silver Surfer, with the iconic Kirby cover pairing both characters for the first time. Alongside #48 it forms one of the great two-book key runs of the Silver Age.
